Volkswagen Taigun

Topping our list is Volkswagen’s midsize SUV, the Taigun, which gets the highest discount of ₹ 80,000. The German midsize SUV comes with two turbo-charged petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre unit. Volkswagen is offering a variety of discounts based on the SUVs variants. The base model with the 1.0-litre engine is available with up to ₹ 30,000 in cash discount, while the remaining 1.0 litre variants can claim up to, ₹55,000. On the other side, you can get the highest discount of ₹80,000 on the 1.5-litre GT manual version of the SUV. The GT DSG – the top variant, which is powered by the 1.5 litre engine, will get up to ₹30,000 in benefits. The Taigun competes directly with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Tata Harrier & Tata Safari

Harrier and Safari are the two models that get the highest discounts from Tata Motors. The company is offering a total discount of ₹ 60,000 on the Kaziranga Editions of the SUVs. This includes a ₹ 20,000 cash discount and an exchange bonus up to ₹ 40,000. Tata is also offering discounts up to ₹ 40,000 on all the variants of the SUVs, except the Jet editions. Both the top selling SUVs come with a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine. You have the choice of either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. It is to be noted, Tata has recently launched two new variants for the Safari model, the XMS and XMAS variants.

Maruti Suzuki S Presso

One of the smallest cars in the Indian automobile market, The S-Presso hatchback is one of the top discounted models from Maruti Suzuki’s line up. The company is offering cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and corporate bonuses on both the manual variant and the automatic variant of the vehicle. The manual variants get a total of ₹ 56,000 in discounts. This includes a cash discount of up to ₹ 35,000, corporate discounts worth ₹ 6,000 and exchange bonuses up to ₹ 15,000. As for the Automatic version, it will get up to ₹ 46,000 in discounts. This can be split up as cash discounts of ₹ 25,000, corporate discounts worth ₹ 6,000, and exchange bonuses of ₹ 15,000.

With the changing guidelines and the focus towards larger models, Maruti Suzuki could very well look to stop this small hatchback. If the mini hatchback is in your sights, then it is the right time to take one to your home.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The long-standing compact sedan from Maruti will get a total discount of ₹ 52,000 on its AMT versions. This includes ₹ 35,000 in cash discounts, ₹ 7,000 worth of corporate discounts and exchange bonuses worth ₹ 10,000. The manual variants on the other hand will get only up to ₹ 17,000 on discounts. The Swift modified sedan is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

Renault Triber

Renault’s sub-4 metre MPV is the only vehicle in the size range that can seat up to 7 people. It is powered by a 72hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. There is a choice of a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission available with the vehicle. Renault is offering a total discount of ₹ 50,000 on the Triber. This includes cash discounts of up to ₹ 15,000, exchange benefits worth ₹ 25,000, and corporate discounts up to ₹ 10,000. The MPV’s limited edition, which was launched recently to mark the vehicle’s two-and-a-half-year anniversary, will also receive discounts up to ₹ 45,000. This model has a lot more features to it too.

The French-grown MPV is perhaps the most versatile one in the market. While the engine offering from the company is not comparable to the ones provided in the larger SUVs, this is the cheapest 7 seater in the country. Only other option was the Datsun Go+ but Triber is trendier & the model comes with some cool features too.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Dzire’s original version will receive bonuses up to ₹ 47,000 on its AMT version. This includes cash discounts of ₹ 25,000, corporate discounts worth ₹ 7,000, and exchange bonuses of ₹ 15,000. The manual variants are not left out too. They will get a total discount of ₹ 30,000. Powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol engine, the swift is available with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Earlier this month, Maruti had launched the CNG version of the vehicle. However, there are no discount options available for this version.

Tata Tiago CNG

The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that can produce 73hp and 95Nm torque in CNG mode, and 86hp with 113Nm torque in petrol-only mode. As for transmission, it only has a 5-speed manual gearbox. But it is a great model from Tata Motors and the company is giving up to ₹ 40,000 worth of bonuses with it. It can be split up as cash discounts worth ₹ 25,000 and exchange benefits worth ₹ 15,000.

Honda WR-V

Honda had earlier reported that it will drop the WR-V model by March 2023, in favour of a new compact SUV. But the company has committed to provide value through the model until its production and sale is stopped in the country. The WR-V, a larger and more spacious version of Honda’s Jazz, will be provided with discounts up to ₹ 39,300. You can get the car for this Deepavali with a cash discount of ₹ 10,000 or free accessories worth ₹ 12,300. Also, you can avail an exchange bonus of ₹ 7,000, a customer loyalty bonus of ₹ 5,000 and a corporate discount of ₹ 5,000. Honda is also offering bonuses on its sedans like Amaze and City.

While the model will soon go out of sales, it still holds a solid promise for an average Indian customer. The package and the tempting cash discount offer will sure sell the remaining units in the country.

Honda City (Gen 5)

As we said earlier, Honda is giving discounts for the value of up to ₹ 37,900 on its premium sedan model. The city can be bought with either a cash discount of up to ₹ 10,000, or free accessories worth ₹ 10,900. As with the WR-V, you can also get a loyalty bonus of ₹ 5,000, if you are an old customer, and a corporate discount of ₹ 5,000 on the vehicle. Honda is also offering an exchange bonus of ₹ 7,000, along with ₹ 10,000 discount on exchange of old vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

The longest running premium sedan from Maruti Suzuki is all set to receive a total discount of ₹ 30,000, this Diwali. This includes an exchange bonus of ₹ 25,000 and a corporate discount of ₹ 5,000, and it will be applicable on both its manual and automatic versions. Powered by a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, the Ciaz comes out with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox, in a multitude of variants. The company is selling this premium sedan through its Nexa outlets and it is a prime rival to the likes of Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus.

The discounts for the Ciaz is perhaps the lowest one offered by the company this festival season. However, the premium sedan offers the best package of both style and comfort. Even with the relatively lower discount, you can safely get the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
