The video shows one quick flash of what may be the painted model in wind tunnel testing. As previous teasers have shown, it wears a huge RAM logo flanked by thin LED lights that almost form a giant X across the front fascia.
Earlier glimpses have shown a streamlined design optimized for aerodynamics. A low roofline and high bed sides sit over huge wheels.
Ram is the last brand of the traditional Big Three domestic automakers to reveal an electric pickup. The Revolution debuts after the Ford F-150 Lightning has already reached customer driveways, and Chevrolet’s upcoming Silverado EV is likely headed for showrooms next year.
Ram CEO Mike Koval promises a truck that will compete on traditional truck attributes like towing and hauling capacity. “More and more truck intenders are open to the idea of electrification in their pickups,” Koval says. “But they’re not willing to sacrifice our most core attributes that make a truck a truck,” He continues. Those include towing, hauling, “and in the future, range and charge time.”
We hope to have details on those next month.
