Donalds Group has acquired Wright’s Mazda dealership in Norwich, joining existing Mazda dealerships at Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Peterborough.
The company plans to revamp the workshop facilities while the showroom has recently been overhauled to meet the latest Mazda corporate standards.
Donalds Group opened its first dealership in 1950. It now operates a network of seven dealerships, representing Kia, MG, Volvo and Mazda.
Staff transfer with the business, but Donalds is launching a local recruitment drive to boost its customer service offer.
The dealership serves a territory stretching from Beccles in Suffolk to Sheringham in North Norfolk, and from Dereham across to Great Yarmouth.
Managing director Graham Wemyss said: ““We at Donalds opened our first Mazda Dealership back in 1980.
“This is our first presence in the county of Norfolk – alongside existing outlets in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk it means we now cover all of East Anglia. We’re really looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to our Cromer Road facility.”
