The Bud Boss Takes on Bigfoot in a Pulling Exhibition – 1980s Monster Truck Coolness
The 1980s were a fun decade. In the realm of motorsports, the USHRA sprung up and promoted massive shows in outdoor stadiums across the country. They featured mud bogging, pulling, and monster trucks. In this unique video clip we see the 1987 version of Bigfoot take on the wild Bud Boss exhibition pulling truck. We think “The Boss” is a shrunken Peterbuilt cab, but we know it is powered by two alky burning, blown Hemi motors. It rules.
Bigfoot, powered by a 640ci Alan Root Ford hemi has no trouble pulling the 50,000-pound sled literally out the backdoor of the stadium. Obviously inspired by Bigfoot’s performance, the owner and driver of the Bud Boss, Gary Collins decides to do something we have never actually seen done before. He pulls the sled around the freaking corner! This is just cool video of raw, unadulterated power at work.
It’s the 1980s so don your mullet, thrown on your stone washed jeans, grab a cup of Bud and watch the action!
