2023 Subaru WRX price bumped $1,525 over last year’s model

2023 Subaru WRX price bumped $1,525 over last year's model

The 2023 Subaru WRX costs $31,625, including a destination fee of $1,020, Subaru announced Thursday. That’s a $1,525 price increase compared to the redesigned 2022 Subaru WRX’s price when it landed last year, and there are no real changes this year.

Much improved last year, the 2023 Subaru WRX compact sedan with rally car roots carries over with a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-4 making 271 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, and buyers can opt between a standard 6-speed manual or available CVT that increases the price $1,850 to $33,475.

That price bump accounts for the transmission, a drive mode selector, paddle shifters, and more driver-assist features beyond its standard blind-spot monitors, including adaptive cruise control, active lane control, and automatic emergency braking.

Standard features on the 2023 WRX include LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and dual 7.0-inch screens for the infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The 2023 WRX Premium costs $34,125 with the manual or $36,175 with the CVT, and adds 18-inch alloy wheels on summer performance tires, a rear spoiler, LED fog lights, aluminum pedals, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen.

The Limited trim costs $38,515 or $40,765 for the CVT, and adds synthetic leather upholstery, a 10-way power driver’s seat, an 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a sunroof, navigation, and adaptive headlights.

The top GT trim comes only with the CVT at a cost of $44,415. It has adaptive dampers with three settings, Recaro front seats with synthetic suede upholstery, exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with summer tires, and all of Subaru’s driver-assist systems.

The 2023 Subaru WRX goes on sale this spring.
